This kit will build a 10', 13', 16' or 20' diameter 2v Geodesic Silo Dome depending on the strut length.


Super Hubs for 1.5" Schedule 40 PVC Pipe Struts.
 
 

This kit comes with our "Super Hubs", for building a Geodesic Silo Dome with 1.5" PVC pipe.

This "Hubs Only" Kit comes with everything necessary to build a 2v Geodesic Silo Dome, except the struts.
No struts are included with this package.

The "Hubs Only" Kit contains instructions on how to cut your own struts from 1.5" Schedule 40 PVC pipe, which you can purchase at Lowes or Home Depot.

The "Hubs Only" Kit will include a printed copy of our 2v Silo Dome Construction Manual, which includes Detailed Instructions on How to Cut Your Own Struts.

We also have an online video on "How to Cut Your Own Struts", as well as "How to Build a 2v Geodesic Silo Dome."

65 Blue (A) Struts - 3' 4"

30 Red (B) Struts - 2' 11"

 

2v Silo Dome - 13' 10" diameter, 10' 7" height

65 Blue (A) Struts - 4' 0"

30 Red (B) Struts - 3' 6"

 

2v Silo Dome - 17' 1" diameter, 13' 1" height

65 Blue (A) Struts - 5' 0"

30 Red (B) Struts - 4' 4-5/8"

 

2v Silo Dome - 20' 4" diameter, 15' 7" height

65 Blue (A) Struts - 6' 0"

30 Red (B) Struts - 5' 3-1/4"

 

Use our Silo Dome Calculator to determine the correct strut lengths for your Silo Dome.

In our Dome Calculators, the Blue Struts are always the longest strut. Enter your longest strut in the Blue Strut column.

For best results, the longest strut should not be more than 5' long. with an absolute maximum length of 6' 8".
