Hi John,

I wanted to show you how we used our zip tie dome to cover our 18' intex pool. Since I was putting in a new pool, I built the dome first, then set the pool up inside it. This allowed me to leave the pool set up without water in it for several days so the sun helped remove the wrinkles prior to filling. This wouldn't have been possible without the dome in place as wind can tip the empty pool easily.

We had to get creative with the entryway to make it work for our needs. The top of the dome is covered with a 33 ft pool solar blanket, and the bottom row is clear tarp that can be removed in July and August when the pool gets too warm.

The dome should allow me an extra two months of swimming in the spring as well as the fall. So far the pool temperature is 10 degrees warmer than it normally is at this time of year. The pool is also staying clean, a huge issue since our yard is heavily shaded by oaks. This is reducing my maintenance time and filter media costs, as well as reducing top offs since evaporation is far less.
