We decided to build a 13' diameter chicken dome. Constructing the dome was straight forward. After drilling just a few holes however, I decided a drill press would make things quicker. After a work break to visit Sears and buy a new tool for the farm, things went much faster. We have 4 chickens right now, down from a larger brood due to a bear attack last year. We have 18 new chicks arriving this week so the dome will get a lot livelier when the chicks are big enough to be outside. A larger size image of the chicken dome is attached. Here's a small one:
