Thanks for the free replacements for the dome parts that were lost. That's super cool of you.
I would be happy to include photos and a write up:
It took a little trial and error to find shades that I like for my 20'x10' dome, but I really like what I'm using now.
I shade it with three 24 foot sail shades. That leaves the north side of the dome open for people.
I use lag screws and ratchet straps to attach the shades directly to the ground.
I don't connect them to the dome at all these days.
The dome just serves as a skeleton for the shades to lay upon.
I've taken it to Burning Man twice as well as several other festivals. It has handled some serious wind like this.
